About Us

Stitch This is certainly "more than you'd expect".

Starting out as a quilt and fabric store, we've gradually diversified and morphed into a place that is sure to bring back some old memories.

There's a great range of collectibles and bric a brac to browse, and if I have my wicked way with you, you could end up in the store for an hour or more.

Enjoy my wit, and be ready for some cheek. Feel free to haggle, but be aware I could double my price if you're rude or I don't find you amusing enough.

Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday , Mondays and Public Holidays.

Appointments can be arranged on other days if I'm free.

Alterations are also available on these days, and a quick turn-around is offered.

Our History...

Now situated in Nagambie approximately 1 hour north of Melbourne, Stitch This started almost 40 years ago as Howell's Fabric & Wool in it's first store in Kyabram. I purchased the business in March 2006, and in 2014 our second store was opened in Nagambie for a six week trial period. Now 18months later, the Kyabram store has closed, and we've moved into a bigger premises across the road in Nagambie.

The store began with some simple dress fabrics, knitting yarn, and a haberdashery range, and over time and with plenty of feedback from customers, we at Stitch this now have a wide range of quilting fabrics, dress fabrics, wool, haberdashery and so much more.

Our team are always excited by what our customers are up to and just love to see the completed projects brought in. I really think we need 2 or 3 lifetimes just to start all those projects flying around in our heads.

As well as a love of all things crafty, I have twin sons Joseph and Luke now 21. They've recently moved on separately to pursue careers in Melbourne. Joseph as a carpenter (I guess I named him right at birth), and Luke is studying writing at Uni. With the nest now empty, I'm starting to find a lot more time to stitch and play, which I guess can only be a good thing.

If you are part of a craft group and are doing a bus trip, feel free to contact us and we can arrange extended trading hours or even a morning tea provided for you in our large craft room out the back. Lemon cake, and apple cake are my specialty. (minimum 10 in group)
